Hagar, a talented and promising Israeli illustrator, passed away when she was only 27 years old, on Rosh Hashana Tashpa, September 20, 2020.

Hagar is endowed with inner and outer beauty that captivates inside and out with a radiant presence, a broad and optimistic smile and self-humor, along with perfectionism and depth of thought. All this is evident in her attitude towards the world and those around her and in her art and works.

Hagar was full of kindness and joie de vivre and was blessed with the wonderful ability to see and be able to empathize with others. Every person, regardless of who they are, was treated equally, warmly and respectfully by her. Her humanity was the source of her strong connection with the animal world which was characterized by great and full compassion towards it. and a developed sense of justice.

Curiosity, the desire to investigate and get to the bottom of things characterized Hagar very much and she was not afraid to ask questions or demonstrate her weaknesses.

Hagar has always aspired to challenge herself with new experiences and to step out of her comfort zones, both in her life and in her art.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Hagar's works will be dedicated to the Hagar Barkat Foundation (AR), which was founded in Hagar's memory and inspired by her. The foundation promotes and supports excellence among promising Israeli illustrators
